Frequently asked questions
“How long will it take to train my dog?”
This a tough question to answer, as every case is different.
Certainly the breed and the age of the dog will play a part in the time scales.
It is very much on you as the owner with how much time and effort you are willing and capable of putting in.
Like with everything in life practice makes perfect, dog training is no different. The more effort you put into training your canine companion the more you will get in return.
“Is using a crate being cruel to my dog?”
No they can be used as a leadership tool, if used in the correct way.
Letting your dog enter into the crate on their own is not enough. The real test is whether your dog listens when you ask them to go in.
It is not about confinement, it is about communication. When you guild your dog into a crate calmly and assertively, it builds trust and leadership.
This way the crate becomes a tool and not a punishment.
“Is my dog too old and is it too late to do training?”
Defiantly not, contrary to popular belief you can teach an old dog new tricks.
It just tends to take a little longer for an older dog to progress and learn, but it is never too late.
“What methods of payment do you except?”
Currently the accepted methods of payment are cash or bank transfer which is paid on the day and at completion of the session.
Clients can of course pay in advance if they plan for multiple sessions.
We do plan on adding more methods of payment in the future.
“How long is a training session?”
Training sessions with us normally last two hours at a time.
We will arrive on our schemed time, you can explain and demonstrate the issues or areas you would like your dog to improve on.
We will then start the training with you and your canine companion right away.
